RIM has not yet even announced the BlackBerry Tour 2, but everyone seems to know it’s on the way. We’ve seen pictures, and dummy units showing up in carrier’s inventory system. BerryScoop now reports that Verizon has a .jad file for visual voicemail on their server, and file is named vvmail_9650.jad

There’s now the original BlackBerry Curve 83xx series, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and the more newly-released BlackBerry Curve 8520/30 on the market… that’s a lot of Curves available for purchase on a lot of carriers in the USA. And according to the IDC Mobile Devices and Technology Trends division that tracks these things the BlackBerry Curve was yet again the best-selling smartphone in the USA for the calendar Q4 part of 2009

Still no Google Reader app for our beloved BlackBerry devices, but one solution has popped up that appears to be a good hold-over until an official Google Reader app shows up (or if it shows up). Unread was previously only available for the Storm, but has just been released for all devices running OS 5.0.

S4BB let us know that their CIA World Factbook app has been updated to version 2.0. The app comes with the most recent data of more than 270 countries and regions and a new caching mechanism lets you store data on the SD card for easy access when no network coverage is available. S4BB have also put the app on sale for $9.99 (down from $29.99)

Gym Technik let us know that their fitness app for BlackBerry, NextGen, has been updated. The app is now compatible with OS 5 devices including the Storm2
